Precast Columns and Rakers

Features include:

• Standardized, modular construction.
• Typically used in combination with Precast Beams and Girders.
• More quality of strength, durability and finish due to plant fabrication environment.
• Column Sections are typically rectangular or square in shape.
• Columns may be multiple stories in height.  Corbels are typically added for beam/ girder connections and intermediate levels.
• Typically reinforced conventionally.  Prestressing may be added to reduce stresses during transportation and handling, or when significant bending or buckling stresses maybe expected in the design.
• High Fire Ratings are possible.
• A wide range of column and raker configurations are possible.
